Sports Medicine Physicians

Cory J. Keller, DO
Dr. Keller specializes in Sports Medicine and Family Medicine. He received his medical degree from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, Philadelphia, PA. Dr. Keller completed his residency at The Reading Hospital and Medical Center, Reading, PA, and he completed a Sports Medicine fellowship at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, St. Margaret’s Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA. Dr. Keller is currently team physician for Reading, Schuylkill Valley, and Hamburg Area School Districts. He also teaches part-time in the family medicine residency program at The Reading Hospital.

Thomas D. Kohl, MD
Dr. Kohl specializes in Sports Medicine and Family Medicine. He received his Medical Degree from The Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine, Hershey, PA. After several years of active service at Langley Air Force Base in Hampton, VA, Dr. Kohl started his sports medicine practice, Comprehensive Athletic Treatment Center. He serves as team physician to many local high schools, Reading Area Community College and Reading Express Indoor Football Team. He also teaches part-time in the family medicine residency program at The Reading Hospital.

Our sports medicine physicians work to maximize function and minimize time away from sports, work, or life’s activities. They promote lifelong fitness and wellness, and encourage prevention of illness and injury. Their expertise is applied to the “weekend warrior” or the “industrial athlete” to quickly and safely return the individual to full function. Our sports medicine physicians are excellent resources for the individual who is interested in exercise, becoming active again, or becoming active for the first time.

Certified Athletic Trainers

Our certified athletic trainers (ATCs) are at the heart of our sports medicine team with a combined 100+ years of athletic coverage and injury treatment in Berks County. They are certified and licensed healthcare professionals specifically trained to provide event coverage for leagues, games, teams, and tournaments. They are able to provide emergency care, injury assessment and evaluation, and return to play decisions.
