Our sports medicine physicians work to maximize function and minimize time away from sports, work, or life’s activities. They promote lifelong fitness and wellness, and encourage prevention of illness and injury. Their expertise is applied to the “weekend warrior” or the “industrial athlete” to quickly and safely return the individual to full function. Our sports medicine physicians are excellent resources for the individual who is interested in exercise, becoming active again, or becoming active for the first time.
Our certified athletic trainers (ATCs) are at the heart of our sports medicine team with a combined 100+ years of athletic coverage and injury treatment in Berks County. They are certified and licensed healthcare professionals specifically trained to provide event coverage for leagues, games, teams, and tournaments. They are able to provide emergency care, injury assessment and evaluation, and return to play decisions.
Rehabilitation Services:
Research shows that care provided by certified athletic trainers provides changes in quality of life outcomes. Our staff has extensive experience in treating active patients with a myriad of injuries and problems of the muscular and skeletal systems. The goal is a fast, successful return to previous function.
